Fees & Accounts

Most GP consultations will be charged at $60.00 with a Medicare rebate of $34.60. If you need more time with the doctor, please tell the receptionist when you make your appointment.

For longer GP appointments, you will usually be charged $90.00 with a Medicare rebate of $67.75. Specialist consultations are generally charged at the Medicare Schedule rate. However, we recommend you confirm costs when you book your appointment.

All GP accounts paid at the time of consultation receive a discount of $5.00 off the full clinic fee. A Medicare rebate can be claimed from any Medicare branch immediately following payment at the clinic. All gap payments are expected to be paid on the day.

Payments may be made by cash, cheque, credit card or EFTPOS.

There is a Medicare office situated on the corner of Darlot and McLachlan Streets, Horsham (as of 6 December 2010), where your refund can be processed.

Patients whom are not bulk billed, and are health care card holders, may be asked to pay a gap payment which is not refunded by Medicare. This payment is expected to be paid at the time of the consultation.

Repeat Prescriptions

Prescriptions for medications taken regularly can be obtained without seeing the doctor if he/she has agreed to this. Requests may be made by telephone or in person at the clinic.

At least 24 hours notice is required and a fee of $10.00 (including GST) is payable for this service.
