Dr. Roy Felstead founded Lister House Clinic as a Group Practice in 1936. The Doctor's Partnership was the second Group Practice in Victoria. The Clinic had consulting rooms, a theatre, x-ray equipment and accommodation for two receptionists.

The Clinic doubled and re-doubled its staff, and in 1982 had twelve full-time doctors including one GP trainee, four part-time doctors, fourteen office and support staff, one casual and fifteen part-time employees.

Today, Lister House has nine full-time doctors including one GP trainees, two part-time doctors including one GP trainee, four full-time nurses, seven part-time/casual nurses and fifteen support staff, consisting of six full-time and nine part-time/casual positions.

The present Principals of the Lister House practice are:

Dr. Chris Foord M.B., B.S., Dip. Obs. R.O.C.G.

Dr. Foord was born in Adelaide and grew up in Melbourne. He graduated from Melbourne University and started work at PANCH in Preston, Melbourne.

He came to Horsham in April 1971 and started work at Lister House Clinic in April 1974 and has worked here from then on. His special medical interests include geriatric medicine and palliative care. The special service he offers is more time. His further studies consist of continually updating his knowledge.

His personal interests include his family interests and travelling overseas to see his daughters. He is an ardent football fan and barracks for the Saints in VFL. He also enjoys watching films and reading historical novels.

Dr. David Leembruggen M.B., B. S., F.R.A.C.G.P.

Dr. Leembruggen was born in the rural Victorian township of Beechworth. He graduated MB, BS Melbourne University in 1977 and FRACGP in 1983. He commenced as a GP at Lister House Clinic in 1982 and became a practice partner in 1983.

Dr. Leembruggen's medical interests include general medicine, aged care and sports medicine. Special services he offers are Visa Medicals and Department of Immigration (approved Medical Practitioner - Health Services Australia).

Dr. Leembruggen is a keen golfer.

Dr. David Wilson M. B., C.H.B., M.R.C.G.P., D.R.C.O.G. (UK), Family Planning Certificate.

Dr. Wilson was born and studied medicine in Scotland. He emigrated in 1990 and has been in Horsham Clinic ever since, where he is now a partner of Lister House Clinic.

He has a particular interest in obstetrics, paediatrics, dermatology and asthma but enjoys other fields in general practice as well. The other medical services he provides include drug and alcohol problems and a wide variety of minor surgical procedures, and family planning.

Dr. Wilson has five children and enjoys fishing and gardening in his spare time.

Dr. Francois Pretorius M. B., C.H.B., F.R.A.C.G.P., F.A.C.R.R.M.

Dr. Pretorius was born and grew up in Durban, South Africa. After graduating, he worked for 10 years in Rural Practice in the Kalahari Desert town of Upington in South Africa. He came to Australia in 2003 and worked in country NSW until October 2006 when he moved to Horsham.

A partner at Lister House Clinic since July 2007, Dr. Pretorius specialises in Obstetrics and Paediatrics and also consults with general patients. His working days are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 am to 5.30 p.m.

Personal interests are cooking and spending time with family.

Dr. Chris Wimbury M. B., B. S.

Dr Philip (Christopher) Wimbury was born and raised in Johannesburg. He graduated from the University of Pretorius and then on to 4 years of general practice in the rural centre of Rustenburg (near Sun City Holiday Resort). He came to Edenhope in Australia in 2001 and commenced work at Lister House Clinic in March 2006.

His special interests are all aspects of general practice including obstetrics. A special service he offers is as a methadone prescriber.

Dr Wimbury's personal interests are science and squash.

Mr. Ian Campbell M. B., B. S., F.R.A.C.S. - General Surgeon

Mr. Campbell was born and raised in Melbourne and graduated from Melbourne University. He has been a Surgical Specialist since 1986 and came to Horsham in 1987 where he commenced work at Lister House Clinic.

His special medical interests are general surgery, breast and colorectal surgery and also Pacemakers.

Mr. Campbell's interests outside work hours are education and a passion for railways.

Dr. Heinz Koehler Dr. Med., F.G.S.S. - General Surgeon

Dr. Koehler was born in Germany and raised in a town near Frankfurt and Cologne. He graduated from the Universities of Worzburg and Goettingen in 1978. He undertook surgical training in Siegen, University of Goettingen in general, trauma and thoracic surgery. He worked for 27 years in Germany, 2 years in England and came to Horsham in September 2007.

He started work as a surgeon at Lister House Clinic in October 2007. Dr. Koehler's medical interests include gastrointestinal surgery and thyroid surgery.

His personal interests are walking, music and literature.

Dr. Ashraf Zakhary M.B., B.S.

Dr. Zakhary was born in Sohag in Egypt. He graduated from the University of Cairo and worked as a GP in a rural area of Egypt and then in hospitals and clinics in Cairo.

He was in Australia for a few years before coming to Horsham in 2006. His special medical interests include diabetes, aged care and skin procedures.

Dr. Zakhary's personal interests are reading, table tennis and swimming.

Dr. Divya Sood M.B., B.S.

Dr. Sood graduated from one of the prestigious colleges of India. She has extensive medical experience in both public and private hospitals in Fiji and New Zealand. Dr. Sood migrated to Australia in 2003 and worked in Ballarat Base Hospital in various medical fields before moving to Horsham in 2006 and commencing work at Lister House Clinic.

Dr. Sood's medical interests are women's health, paediatrics, cosmetic medicine and skin care. She successfully passed FRACGP and is an active member of Cosmetic Physicians Australia.

Dr. Sood's personal interests are swimming, tennis, cooking and listening to music.

Dr. Robert Proctor - Psychiatrist. B.Sc. (Pysch), A.N.U. 1967, MNBBS (Monash) 1973, DPM (Melb) 1978.

Dr. Proctor has been with Lister House since 2002 and has been in private practice in general psychiatry since that time.
